Club Member of the Month

Fred in full flight

Fred Willis is the lucky man in the spotlight this month. From Caboolture, a far north suburb of Brisbane, Fred is an enthusiastic competitor throughout south east Queensland and northern New South Wales Open shoots. He is the President of Murrumba Pistol Club (one of Queensland's Big Four) and a great asset to the pistol shooting movement.

Luckily Fred is able to take flak as well as dish it out. Here he is at Lismore, NSW discussing fairy floss with his fellow miscreants. His antics on the range have earned him the nickname "Spear Chucka" for hurling the lever of his FWB 103 downrange when it slipped off its mount as he cocked it. But despite the constant barrage of banter Fred maintains his good nature and rarely offers abuse in return.
