We have used Dillon progressive presses for the past ten years and have no hesitation in recommending them as the best in their field. Low dealer margins prevent us from keeping these presses in stock, however the Australian distributor we use, Malcolm Bone of Gympie, provides us with excellent service and spare parts backup. We can usually supply any of the following products within 2-3 days.
There are other presses on the market, both cheaper and more profitable for us to handle, but we would rather not have the heartache of selling an inferior product with the resultant loss of client confidence. We like to sleep at nights.
Price on application only as the exchange rates at present are making the prices in Australian Dollars to changable. To those visitors from the US, please bear in mind our dollar is not worth much, we have to freight them a long way, plus our illustrious government slugs us 26.4% on landing.
The Square Deal offers a low-cost package complete with dies and ready to load. Available in 14 handgun calibres it features auto indexing, auto priming and powder systems and an electronic beeper warning for an empty primer tube. Loading rate is 400-500 per hour, although this does not include filling primer tubes.

This is the world's most popular progressive press. Can be used for more than 120 calibres, and uses standard 7/8" x 14 thread dies. Again it features auto primer and powder systems with the beeper warning for low primers, but does not auto index. Press comes with shell plate, powder funnel and locator pins for the calibre of your choice. Dillon claims 500-600 rounds per hour, we'd like to be a little more conservative and say you'll do about the same as the Square Deal. Rifle rounds would be slower, of course, since you will not have the luxury of carbide dies and not lubing your cases. We have flogged our 550 for many years now and still churn out high quality rounds by the bucketload.

Again standard dies are used; this time a five-station toolhead allows for an optional powder checking die (warning buzzer sounds if powder level is high or low.
