This question was a matter of preferred choice of aiming for precision pistol shooting, whether it be slow fire in Bullseye, Free Pistol, Air Pistol, Centre Fire or the 150 second series in Standard Match. Obviously this did not apply to users of optical or dot sights.
| Center Aim - Where the sights sit is where the shot falls. | ![]() |
| Six O'Clock Hold - Sitting the sights on the point where the 6 ring joins the 7 (or in slow fire Bullseye the 7 meets the 8). | ![]() |
| Area Aim - Aiming anywhere from the 5 ring or below (6 ring on slow fire Bullseye). | ![]() |
No real surprises here. Out of 176 respondents we had the following results:
1. Six O'Clock Hold 52%
2. Area Aim 26%
3. Point of Aim 22%.
Many thanks to all who took part.
