This month we want to know your favourite 22LR ammunition for both practice and competition. As an interesting exercise we have assembled over forty different packets of target ammunition that are to be shot through four Ransom rested match pistols sometime in the next few weeks. We believe this is one of the most extensive tests ever undertaken in Australia, and even though much of this ammunition is not available in the United States there will still be some interest I'm sure. Watch for the results of both this poll and the accuracy test early next month.
We do not expect to give an accurate assessment of how any one brand of ammunition will shoot in your particular gun. What we hope to discover by using four different brands of pistol is inherent consistency in different brands. There is of course still no alternative to testing your own pistol to see what will perform best.
