Hi, my name is Scruffy Potter. My humans take me with them to all the ISSF competitions (UIT or ISU to real people that know what dueling is), that they go to. My general role is to help my dad with his shooting, but he always blames me for things that I have nothing to do with.
Over the last couple of months we have hardly been home. Mr Wrinkles and I slept in the car on the Tuesday night, as we had to leave before the birds started to sing in the morning, so we could drive to a really large place called Sydney. We picked up another human on our way, about 2 hours from home. Even then, the birds were just coming out of their nests. My humans call the visitor 2 Bob. I have seen him at other shoots, so that was OK, he was allowed to come with us.
Sydney was horrible, too many humans and too many cars. We stayed in a tall house every night and had to go up to our room in a large box thing. We carried so much junk we had to have a trolley to carry everything, so I jumped on board to save me walking.
Each morning after an exhausting night from having to guard everyone and the new human making very loud funny noises we would all go down in the box to our car and drive out to the range, then I was expected to help them shoot as well. What I want to know is why my friend Mr Wrinkles who belongs to my mum doesn't have all these responsiblies.
On the Saturday afternoon my humans and 2Bob decided to go for a drive to see the new range, so we jumped into the car and drove over to have a look, but a funny man would not let us. After a few human words that can't be put into print we left and went back to the tall house.
Nothing really exciting happened while we were in the giant town, but it was good fun pushing Mr 2Bob out of the car at his normal human home on our way home. I wanted to do it as we drove by, but my humans would not let me.
The next day was exciting. We all went to work at the place where the bang sticks come from, that was real boring as they spent all day there, then we went to the airport where the giant birds land and met my friend Bertie and his humans. We have had a great time since he has been here.
