Clockwise down.
Clockwise right.
Ensure pistol is safe, remove the magazine, cock the pistol (ensuring the chamber is empty).
Grasp the knurled rod under the barrel at the front of the body, pull it out and turn it 90 degrees, so that it remains extended.
Remove the "Cotter", the winged bar, which passes through the forward end of the slide, to the left of the pistol.
Pull the knurled rod and spring forward out of the body. Pull the slide to the rear off the body
Assembly is the reverse of the above, taking care that the Cotter is inserted correctly (it will not go in any other way, but it can be frustrating trying to figure out why it won't go in). Remember to turn the knurled rod back through 90 degrees so that it retracts a little and locks the slide and spring rod together.
